Why we ask:

First, let me state that Awaken the Giant is a beautiful privilege. It is also
an enormous challenge, both in time and money. Central Coast Men’s
Ministry, the non-profit group behind ATG, works on a purely voluntary
basis. This way, all money, whether borrowed or donated, goes forward
toward the ATG events.

Up to this point, we have relied on personal loans from both CCMM
board members and a few generous lenders. With careful planning
and lots of prayer, we have been able to “break even” and pay off all
of our obligations after the event. My hope for future planning of ATG
events is to have funds in the CCMM account to “pay as we go.” This
will allow us a bit of breathing room, while we continue our outreach to
the Central Coast, our teamwork with local churches, and our search for
quality speakers and programs.

And as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations to CCMM are
deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.

I present this need as an opportunity to invest in Central Coast Men’s
Ministry, in Awaken the Giant, and in the lives of the men of the Central
Coast. No guilt. No pressure. Bathed in prayer.
